Fear??

Ever since we started this movie I've really started to realize how much America plays on people's fears. B/c Americans are so driven by fear we become consumers. We consume all of these thing to keep us safe. And since we're so worried about our saftey we start to say yes to everthing the government says as long as the words "you will be safe" are said at some piont. NOw granted there is a lot of crime out there and on the news people die everyday, but is it as bad as they make it out to be? It sounds as if i can't walk anywhere w/o fear of being attacked by a "black man" or "killer bees". Now i like to believe that don't truly fear death and that mind set helps me to just live my life. But it seems that everyone else is so driven on living forever that they scare very easily when it come to death. I cant blame them. We live in hard times and we have lots of bed people living in this country. But if people werent so caught up in living forever, do you think we would be as scared?
